How we measure

What counts as a spa hotel here?

A hotel for which Google’s hotel search lists a spa – no holiday flats. What the spa includes, such as a sauna, pool or treatments, differs from hotel to hotel.

Whether use of the spa is included in the price is stated by the provider. Where Google lists a spa for a fee, it says so at the hotel.

How we pick the hotels

Once a week we look at the hotels with a spa in each region in Google’s hotel search, for the first weekend at least three weeks ahead: Friday to Sunday, two adults. We store the hotels and what Google says about them, no prices.

We only show hotels that at least one of our partners offered for that weekend – not necessarily for the dates you choose. If you book through our link, we receive a commission. We charge you nothing for this.

We check the prices live when you tap. The order is that of Google’s hotel search; commissions play no part in it.

The stars are the hotel class according to Google; we do not check whether a hotel holds an official classification.
